3days to xmas

time flies. 3more days...
tree is up but not enough lights.
cards all sent. (need to write one for thewife)
presents all bought (most of them)
friends visited.

theson was sick again. scared the living daylights out of us. has to take him in to breathe the nebulizer thingie again..

still contemplating whether we shud be flying SQ this sunday. we going back to the doctor tomorrow so we'll know then.
so far hes much better today. thank god for that.

slow

Slow weekend.
Friday nite:
Thewife went out at night for a drink with her friend
Me? Put theson to sleep, visited kalrathia a bit to kill the 3 dark mages, then read my book til 1130pm.
Was actually quite tired and dozed off quite a few times. The wife came back at 12+ and bought me supper.. :-)

Saturday:
Theson woke us up quite early. went to the market. me and theson waited in the car.
Went to see my doc, he said I was 2weeks overdue, which I was.. He said I’ve got 2 more weeks to recover til xmas. Did some grocery shopping for thewife roasting experiements.
Thewife Roast chicken rev0 with 5spice/honey/pepper. (In preparation for xmas dinner, she plans to roast 2 chickens) it was ok, slightly salty and the wings a bit too crisp. No complaints as I was still eating it. Still can improve as it was a word of mouth recipe from theson’s sitters. Don’t think the wife will try this again.
Went to tesco for a bit of xmas grocery shopping.

Sunday:
Took theson for this monthly haircut. He was fine when we took him downstairs but as soon as we approach the barbershop, he kept repeating “no” in Cantonese. as usual, he was Kicking and screaming throughout the whole thing. I held him while the barber cut his hair and thewife assisted. He’s quite strong for a 2yr old, kicking and jumping. I just wanted to make sure he did not hurt himself or me hurting him. Theson actually said “thank you” and “byebye” in-between sobs to teh barber when we were finished. Quite funny. Rushed him home and gave him a bath. Sigh, I think all 3 of us have a phobia of haircuts. (not including the barber…)
Thewife Roast chicken wing rev1 with oregano and paprika and chilli. I liked it but thewife did not. Sweet spicy flavor.
Went to thewife’s mum’s house for lunch and back home again at 200pm. Tired.
Revived our dying potted plants with 3 buckets of water. They must be relieved. The last time I watered them was weeks ago.

I actually “lost” my passport last night, well sort off. I could not find it anywhere at all for around 2 ½ hours.
Searched high and low, in the cupboard and document bags, in all the envelopes, etc…
Finally found it in my old laptop bag. Pheew….!!

He’s already 24months old and can already communicate with us and express his thoughts.
He still speaks in his own language sometimes. No one knows what he says.
He also speaks some Mandarin and Cantonese which is good since I can’t speak it.
We taught him to say please and thank you. But he now knows how to use those 2 words to his advantage.
He sings and hums when his fav tune/music is playing. Either classical or hip-hop. He likes black-eyed-peas and 50cent.

I tried reciting some prayers to him line by line and he actually repeated them to me, well sort off..
It goes like this:

to whom God's love entrust me here,
ever this day,

to light and guard,
to rule and guide.

He repeated
Gaaawd..
deeeear.

A murder

Trying to convince thewife that a collection of crows is called a “murder of crows”.
Had to pull it from a webpage but I was right.. :-)
Its also called a “storytelling of crows”…eeh..? go figure..

Theson and thewife slept early last night at 900pm.
Me? I slept at 1130pm.
i was journeying into the mines of kaderak and doing a bit of killing with my companions finala, eva and deru.
We’re about 2/3 done and our journey shud finish soon.
Read for around an hour or so on the dragonrider as well before hitting the sack.

Woke up a bit late. Theson woke up and had his morning milk as usual.
Was only 15mins late for my meeting. Lucky me not chairing.
Going to get my dinner coat during lunch.

Was up since 230am. Checked mail and tried to clear my 5514 (and increasing) unread mails. Reading mails is such a drag.
Turned on the washing machine and prepared theson’s stuff for the sitter.
Read book for 1hr or so on the couch til 330am

Back to room.
Nice to lie next to thewife in the morning. I’m usually cold and she’s nice and warm.

Dozed for ½ hour.
Experienced the phenomenon where I’m actually awake but my body is unable to move. Could have sworn that I tried to to look around and scream but could not move at all.
Hmm… well, whatever... woke up normally after 5mins.

Need to be in a work today at 7am… sigh…
Woke thewife at 600am
Thewife said she shud have driven home the 2nd car instead of leaving it at work. :-D
I warned her yesterday. Too late now

Left the house at 630am today. Theson looked a bit shocked as this was the first time in months we took him to sitters place before 7am.

Well, work as usual…

xmas countdown :18days to go

xmas is fast approaching and we havent started shopping yet.
cards have not been sent yet as well.. sigh..
i committed to thewife that I WILL settle the xmas cards by myself this year..
well, there is still time.. (must remember the stamps...)

we're probably going back to my mums place for xmas dinner.
thewife will be roasting chicken any mymum will be making curry, mash potatoes, coleslaw, etc..
still need to figure out which xmas mass we can attend as well.

we may be going to spore for a short holiday but still undecided yet.

scare

theson gave us quite a scare last night. he went to sleep at 700pm and slept straight thru the night.he didnt even wake to drink his milk.
he normally sleeps at 900pm and has his fill of milk first before going to bed. he was very lethargic when we brought him home from mr/mrs sitter's house. seems he skipped his rice at dinner time and refused to bathe. :-)

anyway, checked him with the thermoscan when he was asleep and it showed 35.7C... normal..phew..

he woke up all fully energized today at 700am and was bouncing on the bed.
will still monitor him.
