going places.

we had originally planned to go to goldcoast queensland in australia in may/jun,
but with the drastic changes being seen on my current project, it definitely not happening.
we will need to push it out by 10weeks. sucks.. but thats life..
want to make sure we travel again before thewife gets pregnant. (yes, yes, we are trying again….)

i think we may be going to the highlands on the mainland or the other island down south instead.

other places we intend to go...
Australia, Italy, Hongkong, Belgium, New Zealand.

false alarm ??

theson vomited this morning after thewife fed him his milk. he's been coughing the last 2 days. hope its nothing.
he's at school and i'll be picking him up earlier to send him to the babysitters.

the thebabysitter's mother in law passed away last monday (we were so close to watching 300 when we go the call that she had passed away.. oh well...thwarted again...)
and it has been crazy trying to fit thewife and my own work schedule to ensure we cover the babysitting duties the last 3days.

thewife is on the 7am-7pm morning shift this week and i've got 7am meetings. i've been working from home in the afternoons the last few days and its working so far.
so far we have not gone nuts yet.

The bridge was closed for more than 3hours yesterday due to a bomb scare.
traffic was gridlocked on both ends of the bridge.
on days like this I’m glad I don’t travel the bridge daily.
Is this a sign from god telling us to stay on the island?

home is where the heart is??

it has always been thewife's dream to own a landed property and so last week we went hunting in the mainland. She wants a big house, with a backyard, patio and big kitchen with island. with emphasis on the kitchen.
I just want a >1500 sqft house with 4 rooms to live in, single or double storey.

We saw a 3-storey corner lot bungalow, off the NS highway, which was around 25mins away, and it really looked awesome. very nicely renovated concept house with jacuzzi, TV room, slightly small kitchen and big garden with pond and fountain but...
But its just too far and too costly.
these days the new housing projects require you to pay the cost for the land and the cost of building the house itself........ jeeez...
am pretty sure thewife would move into the place in a heartbeat, if it was closer and cost less.

There was also another single storey bungalow project that is coming up that was close to 2000sqft with 4 rooms and it was also tucked quite far away in a secluded village area with only 1 small connecting road.

so we are still looking and saving money til that day comes when we find that "perfect" house.
